On behalf of our client, a leading global biopharmaceutical company, we are looking for an Associate Specialist Payroll EMEA to join their regional Payroll team.

The Associate Payroll Specialist will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll activities for the assigned market, ensuring compliance with local legislation and internal controls. The role acts as a key liaison between Payroll, HR, Finance, Tax and external providers, while actively contributing to the continuous improvement of payroll processes and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Independently deliver accurate and timely payroll for multiple entities in compliance with local laws and regulations
Input and maintain payroll data in databases and spreadsheets
Monitor personnel and salary changes
Process payroll activities for expats and commuters in cooperation with Global Mobility and external providers
Manage payroll controls, including SOX and audit requirements
Prepare and coordinate approvals for payroll-related bank payments
Respond to internal and external inquiries related to payroll, taxation and social insurance
Assist with payroll reporting and cooperate with HR Shared Services on report distribution
Contribute to the standardization and improvement of Payroll & Benefits Administration processes
Support payroll documentation, process optimization and continuous improvement
Collaborate with HR Service Delivery, HR Business Partners and HR Centers of Excellence
Participate in projects and working groups

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or another relevant Payroll qualification (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 3 years of experience in Payroll within a multinational environment
Experience with outsourced payroll providers (e.g. ADP, Celergo)
Experience with HR systems (e.g. Workday, SAP)
Strong organizational and prioritization skills
High level of accuracy, confidentiality and personal integrity
Excellent communication skills
Fluent English, written and spoken
Ability to collaborate effectively in an international environment
