C# Engineer - Backend Development v Brno, Česko

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a C#/C++ engineer to develop backend software for next-generation ion chromatography instruments. This multi-year New Product Introduction initiative involves redesigning embedded system architecture using modern technologies, requiring strong backend development skills and experience with scalable software design.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend components for embedded UI systems using modern C# or C++
• Apply object-oriented design principles and contribute to architectural discussions
• Collaborate with architects, firmware, DevOps, and test engineers on integrated solutions
• Implement automated testing strategies and support CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure secure coding practices aligned with regulatory and cybersecurity requirements

Requirements

• Strong backend software development experience in C# (primary), C++, or Python
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience developing modular, maintainable, and scalable software systems
• Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and modern development workflows
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices
• Experience working in agile development environments (SAFe preferred)
