Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a C# Software Engineer to develop software for scanning electron microscopes in Brno. The role involves designing features, debugging complex codebases, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across locations to support applications in semiconductor manufacturing and scientific research.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement new software features using C#
• Write, test, and validate code on real scanning electron microscopes
• Investigate, debug, and resolve issues in established codebases
• Solve technical problems and develop innovative, practical solutions
• Collaborate with distributed engineering and scientific specialist teams

Requirements

• 3+ years commercial software development experience
• Strong proficiency in modern C# and WPF
• Solid object-oriented programming, design patterns, and algorithms knowledge
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and critical assessment of outputs
• Understanding of microservices architecture and API design
• Basic cloud platform knowledge (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
• Hands-on Git version control experience
