At GCE, a global manufacturer, we are looking for a Commodity Manager who will play a key role in shaping our procurement strategy, optimizing our supplier base, and leading critical cross-functional projects across the organization.
This position combines strategic purchasing, project leadership, and people management, offering a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on business performance and growth.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned commodity groups
Lead supplier negotiations, RFQs, tenders, and contract management
Drive cost optimization and supplier performance improvements
Manage strategic supplier relationships and business reviews
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through dual-sourcing and supplier development
Support new product introductions and product lifecycle projects
Project Leadership
Lead procurement-related workstreams within major business projects
Manage supplier transfers, resourcing initiatives, and cost reduction programs
Coordinate cross-functional teams including Production, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Supply Chain
Drive project milestones, risk management, and successful implementation

Experience
8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, commodity management, or supply chain leadership within a manufacturing environment.
Proven success in developing and executing sourcing strategies that deliver measurable business impact.
Strong track record of leading teams, developing talent, and building high-performing organizations.
Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional business initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, functions, and locations.
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a complex international environment and influence senior leaders across the organization.
Experience driving transformation, process improvements, organizational change, or business growth initiatives.
Strong commercial acumen combined with strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and data-driven decision making.
