At GCE, a global manufacturer, we are looking for a Commodity Manager who will play a key role in shaping our procurement strategy, optimizing our supplier base, and leading critical cross-functional projects across the organization.

This position combines strategic purchasing, project leadership, and people management, offering a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on business performance and growth.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Strategic Sourcing & Category Management

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned commodity groups
• Lead supplier negotiations, RFQs, tenders, and contract management
• Drive cost optimization and supplier performance improvements
• Manage strategic supplier relationships and business reviews
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through dual-sourcing and supplier development
• Support new product introductions and product lifecycle projects

Project Leadership

• Lead procurement-related workstreams within major business projects
• Manage supplier transfers, resourcing initiatives, and cost reduction programs
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Production, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Supply Chain
• Drive project milestones, risk management, and successful implementation

Experience

• 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, commodity management, or supply chain leadership within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven success in developing and executing sourcing strategies that deliver measurable business impact.
• Strong track record of leading teams, developing talent, and building high-performing organizations.
• Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional business initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, functions, and locations.
• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a complex international environment and influence senior leaders across the organization.
• Experience driving transformation, process improvements, organizational change, or business growth initiatives.
• Strong commercial acumen combined with strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and data-driven decision making.
