DNAnexus is the global standard for omics intelligence. Since 2009 we have built the trusted foundation where the world’s omics data and AI come together to advance human health. Pharma companies, diagnostic laboratories, health systems, biobanks and government agencies, including the FDA, use DNAnexus to decode the most complex data in healthcare, discover new therapies and deliver them into regulated, real-world impact. More than 64,000 researchers across 54 countries and 130+ enterprise customers run their omics work on DNAnexus, across more than 135 petabytes of data.

We are scientists, engineers, cloud architects and compliance specialists who have spent more than seventeen years learning what it takes to run omics at population scale, inside regulation, without breaking. Many of us came from the labs, pharma teams, and health systems we now serve. We are accountable, trusted, groundbreaking, and curious, and we take on the hardest problems in human health alongside our customers. If you want your work to reach the people whose lives depend on it, help us as we continue to set the standard for omics and AI.

Job Description

Researchers use our platform to advance human health, and every genome, study, or analysis they run shows up somewhere in our enterprise data. As a Data Analyst , you'll help connect that activity to our revenue, costs, and customer usage patterns, using SQL and BI tools to build reporting that leadership can rely on. The role sits within a distributed Enterprise Data & Analytics team that uses AI tools in its day-to-day work, with colleagues in the United States, the Czech Republic, and Vietnam.

You're curious about where numbers come from and careful about whether they're right. When something doesn't add up, you dig in until you know why. You're comfortable with requirements that shift as you learn more, you ask questions when something is unclear, and you like finding ways to make our reporting more reliable and sustainable.

What You Will Do

Maintain and build datasets and reports that support customer usage analysis, forecasting, and budgeting, drawing on NetSuite, Salesforce, and our Redshift data warehouse
Reconcile data between source systems and BI dashboards, and trace discrepancies to their root cause
Monitor business and operational metrics and summarize them for leadership
Respond to ad-hoc analysis requests from Finance, Engineering, and other teams
Write and update documentation for data and analytics processes
Work with stakeholder teams to help define and validate shared metrics in our semantic layer (a central set of agreed-upon definitions)

Projects You May Support

Enterprise reporting on AI usage and adoption across teams
Usage and margin analysis to support customer renewals and pricing decisions
Reviews of cloud and AI spend to identify inefficiencies and potential savings
Analysis linking cloud cost to customer profitability

Qualifications

Must-Haves

2+ years of experience as a data analyst or in a similar analytical role
Working knowledge of SQL, including writing queries to retrieve and transform data
Experience building dashboards and visualizations in Tableau, Superset, or a similar BI tool
Experience working with financial or operational data — accounting, revenue, billing, usage, or similar — and an interest in how the numbers fit together
Professional fluency in written and spoken English, with the ability to explain findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work independently within a distributed team, with enough flexibility to overlap with US hours (late afternoon CET/CEST) several days a week

Nice-to-Haves

Exposure to NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar ERP/CRM systems
Familiarity with a cloud data warehouse such as Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery
Experience with Python or another scripting language for automating data tasks
Hands-on use of AI tools to speed up analysis or coding, with a habit of checking the results
