2x Data science & AI Team leader - AI / ML / NLP

Full remote or hybrid

We are looking for two experienced Data Science leaders (for two teams) to build scalable data platforms and AI-driven solutions. These roles combine technical leadership, team management (3–4 developers in each team), and hands-on expertise across data engineering, data science, NLP, and machine learning.

You will lead a talented international team of 4 engineers, design modern data architectures, and deliver data products that enable smarter decision-making through advanced analytics and AI.

What You'll Do

Lead and mentor a team of data science engineers.
Design and scale modern data platforms, including large-scale natural language processing (NLP) pipelines and data models.
Drive AI-powered data engineering workflows, machine learning, and advanced analytics initiatives from concept to production.
Build solutions using Python, SQL, cloud technologies (AWS), and modern data platforms such as Snowflake.
Lead your team in applying statistical methods and predictive modeling to solve complex business challenges.
Develop scalable data workflows, automation, and analytical applications.
Collaborate with other teams.
Define technical standards and best practices across data and AI initiatives.

What You'll Bring

4+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, AI (including production-grade agentic AI workflows), or NLP. (NLP expertise is essential for only one of the two teams)
Willingness to lead a team and mentor technical professionals.
Strong knowledge of AI, ML, data architecture, data modeling, and scalable data solutions.
Advanced hands-on Python and SQL skills.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and modern data technologies.
Experience deploying machine learning or AI solutions into production.
Understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, or modern AI frameworks.
Fluent English communication skills; communicative Czech is an advantage.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of Snowflake.
Experience with knowledge graphs and graph analytics.
Experience implementing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and semantic search.
Experience building data quality, anomaly detection, or automation solutions.
Experience with agent orchestration frameworks such as Claude Code or the Claude Agent SDK, as well as tool-calling and MCP-based integration patterns.
