Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Mechatronics Engineer II to support sustained manufacturing of mechatronic products from production transfer through end-of-life. The role involves troubleshooting complex systems, designing test equipment, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve product reliability and manufacturability.
Responsibilities
Support mechatronic products throughout lifecycle from volume production transfer to end-of-life
Investigate and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and mechatronic issues; perform root cause analysis and CAPA
Design and develop test equipment and fixtures for internal production and external suppliers
Create and maintain technical documentation including procedures, guides, BOMs, and schematics
Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain on product improvements and continuous optimization
Requirements
Master's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field; or Bachelor's with 2+ years engineering experience
Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and mechatronic systems
Strong analytical and hands-on troubleshooting skills with root cause analysis capability
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
Familiarity with CAD tools and engineering change management processes
Fluent written and verbal communication in Czech/Slovak and English
Independent problem-solver with ownership mindset and cross-team collaboration ability
