Engineer II Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering v Brno, Česko

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Mechatronics Engineer II to support sustained manufacturing of mechatronic products from production transfer through end-of-life. The role involves troubleshooting complex systems, designing test equipment, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve product reliability and manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Support mechatronic products throughout lifecycle from volume production transfer to end-of-life
• Investigate and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and mechatronic issues; perform root cause analysis and CAPA
• Design and develop test equipment and fixtures for internal production and external suppliers
• Create and maintain technical documentation including procedures, guides, BOMs, and schematics
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain on product improvements and continuous optimization

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field; or Bachelor's with 2+ years engineering experience
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and mechatronic systems
• Strong analytical and hands-on troubleshooting skills with root cause analysis capability
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Familiarity with CAD tools and engineering change management processes
• Fluent written and verbal communication in Czech/Slovak and English
• Independent problem-solver with ownership mindset and cross-team collaboration ability
