Head of Data Engineering & AI team
Full remote or hybrid
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineering leader to build scalable data platforms and AI-driven solutions. This role combines technical leadership, team management, and hands-on expertise across data engineering, analytics, and machine learning.
You will lead a talented international team of 10 engineers, design modern data architectures, and deliver data products that enable smarter decision-making through advanced analytics and AI.
What You'll Do
Lead and mentor a team of data engineers.
Design and scale modern data platforms, pipelines, and data models.
Drive AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics initiatives from concept to production.
Build solutions using Python, SQL, cloud technologies, and modern data platforms.
Your team will apply statistical methods and predictive modeling to solve complex business challenges.
Develop scalable data workflows, automation and analytical applications.
Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to deliver impactful solutions.
Define technical standards and best practices across data and AI initiatives.
What You'll Bring
5+ years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, machine learning, or related technical fields.
3+ experience leading team and mentoring technical professionals.
Strong knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, and scalable data solutions.
Advanced hands-on Python and SQL skills.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and modern data technologies.
Experience deploying machine learning or AI solutions into production.
Understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, or modern AI frameworks is an advantage.
Fluent English communication, (Communicative Czech language is an advantage).
Nice to Have
Experience with Knowledge Graphs, graph analytics, semantic search, or entity resolution.
Experience building data quality, anomaly detection, or automation solutions.
Interest in exploring emerging AI technologies.
