Bring-up new Embedded Linux products to live

Want to work on innovative projects and learn from experts in cutting-edge technology? Join 2N as a Junior 2N OS Linux Platform Developer and help develop 2N OS – the Embedded Linux platform behind our IP intercoms and access control devices used worldwide. You will work directly with experts from our parent company Axis Communications (part of the Canon Group.

What will you do? 

• Develop Embedded Linux based 2N OS and platform components in C/C++/Rust. 

• Write Python tools, scripts and automated tests. 

• Debug and test software on real hardware. 

• Use AI agents in everyday development and help us adopt new tools. 

• Collaborate with Axis engineers and take part in code reviews. 

Qualifications

Who are we looking for? 

• You are a technical university student and you will still have student status in December 2027 (long-term trainee program)

• You have experience with Linux or Embedded Linux. 

• You are developing in C and Python (C++, Rust, JavaScript is a plus). 

• You are interested in AI technologies and AI agents in development. 

• You communicate in English and you are a team player. 

• You can work an average of 20 hours per week. 

What else would be a plus? 

• VS Code and Git (branches, commit, push/pull). 

• Basic networking (TCP/IP) and Bash scripting. 

• School or hobby projects on embedded hardware (e.g. Raspberry Pi, Arduino).
