Junior System Engineer - Verification & Investigation - Desktop SEM v Brno, Česko

Junior System Engineer role supporting development of Desktop Scanning Electron Microscope products at Thermo Fisher Scientific's Brno center. Responsibilities include laboratory testing, verification, troubleshooting, and technical investigations across multidisciplinary engineering teams to improve product performance and quality.

Responsibilities

• Execute system verification and validation activities for SEM components, subsystems, and complete systems
• Plan and perform hands-on laboratory testing, engineering experiments, and develop test procedures
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and perform structured root-cause investigations with corrective action recommendations
• Support engineering changes, product releases, and new product introductions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in technical and design reviews

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field
• Experience with laboratory testing and engineering experiments
• Experience troubleshooting complex technical systems
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret test results and translate findings into technical recommendations
• Good technical documentation and communication skills in English
