Job Description
We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Local IT Operations Specialist (CZ/SK) to join our internal IT team full-time in Prague. In this dual role, you will handle daily onsite IT support for our Prague office while leading and coordinating internal IT operations across our DVT Alps branches (Prague, Ostrava, and Bratislava). You will act as both the team lead and technical lead for a distributed group of part-time contractors and internal IT contributors, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, standardized processes, and cooperation with Devoteam Group IT in France.
Your main duties and responsibilities are:
Daily Onsite IT Support (Prague Office) - approx 70%
- Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for user support in our Prague office.
- Deploy, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain user hardware (laptops, mobile phones, monitors, printers, and peripherals) across Windows, macOS/iOS, and Android.
- Maintain meeting rooms, Google Meet/AV equipment, and provide technical setup/support for internal company events and all-hands meetings.
- Administer and troubleshoot the local office network (Wi-Fi, routers, switches, firewalls, access points) and maintain hardware asset records in ServiceNow (DevoWay).
Team & Operations Leadership (Prague, Ostrava, Bratislava) - approx 15%
- Lead and coordinate the DVT Alps Internal IT team across Prague, Ostrava, and Bratislava (running weekly team syncs, retrospectives, and managing onsite/remote coverage schedules).
- Oversee the ticket queue, SLA/OLA compliance, and team performance tracking in ServiceNow (DevoWay).
- Manage onboarding, offboarding, access rights, and technical training for internal IT team members.
- Align operational workflows with local Back Office teams, Group IT (software/security rollouts), and local management.
Technical Leadership & Service Evolution - approx 15%
- Act as the primary technical escalation point for complex hardware, OS, or networking issues across all three branches.
- Standardize and improve internal IT procedures (e.g., streamlining laptop setup, monthly asset quality controls, device handover checklists, and internal documentation).
- Administer local IT infrastructure and management consoles (Ubiquiti network console, Sophos Central, Ivanti MDM/Neurons, local sandbox servers).
Qualifications
We require:
- Experience in IT support, helpdesk operations, or systems/network administration (2+ years), ideally with experience coordinating a small team or service desk.
- Fluent in Czech/Slovak (mandatory for daily onsite communication and local vendor/back-office coordination).
- Communication in English at a B2+ level (written and spoken, for ticketing, documentation, and cooperation with Group IT).
- Availability to work full-time primarily onsite at our Prague office.
