Operations Engineer - Mechatronics v Brno, Česko

Manufacturing engineering role supporting electron microscope mechatronic components at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Responsibilities include product sustaining engineering, process documentation, tool design, troubleshooting, and factory technical support in a regulated medical device environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical product sustaining support for mechatronic parts of electron microscopes from manufacturing through end of service
• Design tools, test fixtures, and conduct troubleshooting of system and component problems affecting reliability and performance
• Maintain technical documentation through engineering change order processes and support new product introduction projects
• Deliver manufacturing support to factory and field service, including on-site customer support and personnel training as needed
• Support supply chain with engineering expertise and perform hands-on assembly, testing, and process improvement analysis

Requirements

• Advanced degree with no prior experience, or Bachelor's degree plus 2 years manufacturing engineering experience
• Strong knowledge of GMP, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements
• Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
• Proficiency in CAD software, statistical analysis, and root cause investigation
• Fluent in Czech and English, written and verbal communication
• Expertise with engineering documentation, specifications, and change control processes
• Knowledge of cleanroom environments, equipment qualification, and calibration processes
