Job Description
We are seeking a PLC/Robotics Programmer to join our Automation and Industrial Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing control system software for industrial machinery and automated installations, ensuring compliance with project specifications and customer requirements.
This position involves collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the entire project lifecycle, from design and development to commissioning, customer acceptance, and ongoing technical support.
Responsibilities
Participate in project kick-off activities once electrical schematics have been defined, analyzing the programming requirements of the machine or installation.
Develop PLC software programs, including input conditioning, alarm management, safety functions, machine cycles, outputs, and database integration, based on established programming structures and project specifications.
Design and configure HMI/SCADA interfaces when required, enabling machine operation, process visualization, and alarm management.
Configure and program automation devices such as servo drives, industrial robots, and other programmable equipment as required.
Download, integrate, and validate software components and program blocks within the automation system.
Test machine inputs and outputs, operational cycles, alarm systems, safety functions, and electrical installations in collaboration with the Electrical Design team.
Perform commissioning and optimization activities, validating machine automation performance together with the customer when necessary.
Participate in on-site installation and final start-up activities at customer facilities, carrying out all required adjustments and fine-tuning.
Implement approved modifications requested by customers during project execution, ensuring final project acceptance.
Prepare User Manuals and technical documentation delivered with the machine or installation.
Provide troubleshooting, maintenance, and support for automation software, diagnosing and resolving failures, malfunctions, or system deviations.
Education Requirements
Vocational Training Degree in Electrical Installations and Automation, or
Higher Vocational Degree in Industrial Automation and Robotics, or
Higher Vocational Degree in Electrotechnical and Automated Systems, or
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Electronics and Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
