Energy storage is no longer the future of power management — it's the present. As part of our 30+ member Product Marketing team based in Prague's Holešovice district, you will be a driving force behind our InteliNeo range, at the centre of ComAp's push into the energy transition.
As Product Owner, you will act as a technical steward of the InteliNeo: translating requirements from the Product Manager, Sales, and customers into functional specifications that our R&D teams build into working systems. You will be the critical link ensuring that what gets developed genuinely reflects how BESS operates in the field — not just what looks good on paper.
At ComAp, we develop control units that manage and monitor energy sources, helping prevent power outages in critical infrastructure such as hospitals, banks, and data centres. Our controllers are installed worldwide across industries and the energy sector — and BESS is where that story is heading next.
We're looking for someone with real, hands-on BESS experience — both the technical components (cells, inverters, battery management systems) and the application side: how storage is actually deployed and used in the field. Experience with DER (Distributed Energy Resources) power management is highly valued, and candidates who understand power integration and power flow control between BESS and other energy sources — gensets, solar, wind, and grid — will be strongly preferred.
Above all, we need someone who can bridge the gap between product needs and development scope without losing sight of how BESS actually behaves. Anyone can write code — we need a Product Owner who ensures that what we ask R&D to build adds real value, builds on what already works, and strengthens the reliability of the solution, rather than introducing features disconnected from real-world operation. This is the single most important thing we're hiring for: the judgement to know which features genuinely belong on a BESS system, and the technical credibility to make that case to R&D.
Familiarity with traditional power generation concepts — AC/DC, synchronization, frequency, power factor — is a strong bonus, since BESS increasingly operates alongside gensets and the grid, but it is not a requirement on its own.
