Project Manager - Desktop SEM v Brno, Česko

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Project Manager to lead desktop scanning electron microscope product development from concept through industrialization in Brno. The role involves directing multidisciplinary teams across engineering, manufacturing, and service functions while managing multiple concurrent projects and collaborating with the Eindhoven innovation center.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary product development projects from concept through release and industrialization
• Own project scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality, and key deliverables across parallel initiatives
• Develop project plans, establish priorities, monitor progress, and drive execution to completion
• Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, manage engineering changes, and facilitate stakeholder alignment
• Prepare and lead project reviews, stage-gate deliverables, and communicate status to senior management

Requirements

• University degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field
• Extensive experience in complex high-tech product development projects
• Demonstrated ability managing multidisciplinary technical teams
• Strong project planning, budgeting, resource, and risk management skills
• Knowledge of mechanics, electronics, software, and manufacturing dependencies
• Experience with structured product development methodologies like stage-gate or Agile
• Fluent English communication and presentation skills
