Python Developer - Manufacturing v Brno, Česko

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Manufacturing Software Engineer to develop Python-based automation and digital solutions for analytical instrument production. This role bridges software development and manufacturing operations, working with Manufacturing Execution Systems, equipment integration, and data analysis to enhance production quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python applications and automation tools for manufacturing operations
• Build and improve Manufacturing Execution System solutions including workflows and integrations
• Create automated data collection from spectrometers, test equipment, and production systems
• Process manufacturing data to support quality improvements and process optimization
• Identify inefficient processes and convert them into automated, digital workflows

Requirements

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
• Proficient in Python and software development fundamentals
• Knowledge of databases, servers, networks, APIs, and system integration
• Experience collecting, processing, analyzing, and visualizing technical data
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with ability to diagnose root causes
• Fluent written and spoken English; ability to collaborate across teams
