1. Build a strong understanding of the existing codebase, architecture, integrations and business-critical workflows
2. Create and drive a risk-based technical debt roadmap focused on stability, security, maintainability and supportability through 2030
3. Modernise the .NET application and key dependencies in pragmatic, incremental steps while protecting business continuity
4. Diagnose and resolve production issues, recurring defects, performance bottlenecks and integration failures
5. Improve automated testing, code quality, logging, monitoring and operational documentation
6. Strengthen CI/CD, deployment practices, environment consistency and safe rollback approaches

What you will be doing

We are looking for a senior .NET engineer based in Poland to join the team responsible for SmartGrants. Working closely with technical and business stakeholders, you will take an active role in stabilising the solution, reducing technical debt and improving the engineering practices needed for dependable long-term operation. The role offers significant ownership and the opportunity to influence architecture, quality standards and technical priorities.
