Solvd Inc. is a rapidly growing AI-native consulting and technology services firm delivering enterprise transformation across cloud, data, software engineering, and artificial intelligence. We work with industry-leading organizations to design, build, and operationalize technology solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.

Following the acquisition of Tooploox, a premier AI and product development company, Solvd now offers true end-to-end delivery—from strategic advisory and solution design to custom AI development and enterprise-scale implementation. Our capability centers combine deep technical expertise, proven delivery methodologies, and sector-specific knowledge to address complex business challenges quickly and effectively.

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a small, cross-functional engineering team modernizing a data platform for a global financial services client. You’ll be working hands-on with Snowflake and dbt — designing data models, migrating legacy Oracle-based ETL processes, and contributing to architectural decisions alongside client stakeholders.

This is a delivery-oriented role with real ownership. You’ll take responsibility for assigned components end to end, participate in client-facing technical discussions, and work directly with both engineering and business teams to define and implement solutions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

– Design, develop, and optimize data models and transformation workflows using Snowflake and dbt.

– Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable data architecture covering raw through semantic data layers.

– Support modernization of existing Oracle-based ETL and reporting processes.

– Investigate and address data performance, consistency, and reconciliation challenges.

– Develop and maintain data processing, transformation, and automation solutions using Python.

– Participate in solution design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.

– Support DevOps-related activities including deployment, configuration, and operational aspects of the data platform.

– Take ownership of assigned technical components and deliverables within the team.

– Participate actively in client-facing technical discussions and project meetings.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

– Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake — data transformation, modeling, and performance optimization.

– Solid understanding of data modeling principles, data architecture, and scalable data solution design.

– Practical experience with dbt for developing and maintaining data transformation workflows.

– Proficiency in Python for data engineering, scripting, and automation.

– Experience with ETL/ELT processes and modern data pipeline development.

– Familiarity with DevOps practices and containerized environments including Kubernetes.

– Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills around data quality, performance, and reconciliation.

– Good communication skills — able to collaborate directly with client stakeholders and participate in regular technical discussions with US-based teams.

– English proficiency sufficient for regular technical discussions with US-based teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience with Oracle databases, Oracle ETL, and legacy reporting environments.

– Prior involvement in data platform modernization or migration from Oracle to Snowflake.

– Experience with Power BI and semantic reporting models.

– Snowflake professional certification.

– Experience designing and optimizing analytical data models for enterprise reporting.

– Experience working with distributed, cross-functional engineering teams.

– Background in insurance, reinsurance, or financial services.

– Availability for occasional business trips to St. Louis, USA — approximately once every three weeks for one to two days.

When you join Solvd, you’ll…

– Shape real-world AI-driven projects across key industries, working with clients from startup innovation to enterprise transformation.

– Be part of a global team with equal opportunities for collaboration across continents and cultures.

– Thrive in an inclusive environment that prioritizes continuous learning, innovation, and ethical AI standards.
