Senior Software Engineer, AI Search v Česko

Responsibilities

• Translate business problems into AI-powered search and retrieval solutions with product managers and stakeholders.
• Design and build hybrid keyword and semantic/vector search systems for large datasets.
• Develop retrieval pipelines for RAG and AI-driven applications.
• Build scalable document ingestion, indexing, embedding-generation, and search-ranking pipelines.
• Partner with the Data team on data collection, enrichment, chunking, and indexing.
• Implement AI-powered services combining LLMs with search infrastructure.
• Write Python code for data manipulation, search pipelines, and retrieval evaluation.
• Develop tools and infrastructure for relevance tuning, search-quality evaluation, and ranking-model improvement.
• Deploy and monitor AI search services with the cloud operations team while improving latency, relevance, and reliability.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in backend systems or search infrastructure.
• Experience building search or retrieval systems for large document stores.
• Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Solr, or similar search platforms.
• Experience implementing hybrid search with keyword retrieval and vector embeddings.
• Strong Python or equivalent modern technology-stack development skills.
• Familiarity with document-processing pipelines involving chunking, embeddings, and indexing.
• Experience building scalable data infrastructure for production SaaS systems.
• Experience working in AWS cloud environments and with modern DevOps practices.
• Preferred: experience with Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, FAISS, search-ranking and relevance tuning, information retrieval, search relevance engineering, RAG systems, AI agents, LLMs, retrieval-augmented architectures, OCR, structured document extraction, fintech, or the legal industry.
