1. Improve the availability, latency, and efficiency of Java microservice-based systems.
2. Split time equally between coding and working with product squads to enforce engineering standards (e.g., logging, monitoring).
3. Optimize microservices performance through database query improvements, reduced response times, and lowered processing overhead.
4. Implement observability tooling and lead performance tuning initiatives for large-scale distributed systems.
5. Provide training for teams on microservice performance improvements, mock incident management, and game days.
