Lead a software engineering team developing Desktop Scanning Electron Microscope products at Thermo Fisher Scientific's Brno Development Center. Combine technical expertise in modern C++ with people leadership to guide team development, ensure software quality, and deliver reliable microscopy control systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of C++ software engineers toward technical excellence
• Set team objectives, manage priorities, and ensure successful software delivery
• Provide technical guidance during design, architecture reviews, code reviews, and investigations
• Collaborate with Software Architecture, Systems Engineering, Hardware, and Product Management teams
• Plan resources, manage dependencies, and drive continuous improvement in development processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
• Extensive software development experience with strong proficiency in modern C++
• Proven experience leading and coaching software engineering teams
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design principles, testing, and debugging
• Knowledge of Linux, embedded systems, or hardware-software integration
• Experience planning and delivering complex software development activities
• Fluent English communication and stakeholder management skills
