As Supervisor Inland Delivery and Customer Service you will support the team manager in daily operations while actively driving improvements across import and export processes. You will act as the functional lead for the team, resolve complex issues, monitor vendor performance and contribute to reporting, projects and the overall motivation of the department.
What You'll Do
- Support the Manager in daily management of the Inland Delivery Team and act as deputy when required
- Organise and coordinate import and export activities across Inland Delivery, Customer Service and Documentation
- Resolve operational issues in close cooperation with customers, vendors and internal stakeholders
- Provide functional responsibility for the team, guiding colleagues on complex cases and ensuring consistent service quality
- Analyse and handle operational and invoice‑related disputes, identifying root causes and implementing solutions
- Monitor vendor performance, identify improvement areas and collaborate with Procurement on corrective actions
- Identify and drive process optimisation, standardisation and automation initiatives
- Support reporting, administrative tasks, performance monitoring and project work
- Contribute to team motivation, development and a collaborative, performance‑oriented environment
- Balance operational duties with tactical improvement initiatives and manage multiple topics simultaneously
What Makes You A Fit
- Several years of experience in liner shipping, logistics, forwarding or transportation operations with strong inland transport knowledge
- Analytical and problem‑solving mindset with ability to identify root causes and develop pragmatic solutions
- Proactive, structured, self‑motivated with high ownership and ability to work independently
- Strong interest in process optimisation, automation and digital transformation
- Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel; experience with Power BI, VBA/Macros, RPA, Alteryx or similar tools is a plus
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, comfortable working with internal departments and external partners
- Ability to balance operational responsibilities with tactical improvement initiatives and manage multiple topics simultaneously
- Fluent in Czech (spoken and written) and good written and spoken English skills
