Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer III to manage supplier validation, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement across the global supply chain. The role requires ensuring quality and compliance while leading cross-functional initiatives with suppliers and internal teams.
Responsibilities
Manage supplier validation, qualification, and comprehensive audit programs
Develop new suppliers and oversee product transfer among suppliers
Lead continuous improvement programs and new product introductions with suppliers
Resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and maintain supplier metrics and agreements
Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Requirements
Advanced degree plus 6 years supplier quality experience, or bachelor's degree plus 8 years in automotive, aerospace, medical or similar industries
Quality Lead Auditor certification preferred; Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt preferred
Expertise in ISO 9001, IATF 16949, GMP and quality management systems
Proficiency with quality tools: 8D, FMEA, DMAIC, DFM, statistical process control, CTQ flowdown, SPPC
Experience with QMS software (SAP, TrackWise) and data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau)
Strong project management, analytical skills, and supply chain process understanding
Up to 50% international travel; ability to work across multiple time zones
